Come to FL for the Columbus Day Regatta


While we are talking about FL regattas I want to throw out one more. What I'??d really like to get organized is a class for the Columbus Day Regatta (Oct 9/10).

This is a GREAT two day race in beautiful Biscayne Bay. We splash out boats on Friday and overnight on them at the Coral Reef Yacht Club, where the skippers meeting is held.

Saturday is a race down the bay and Sunday is the return race. Saturday night some folks head back to dock for a BBQ, but the real party is down at Elliot Key (~10 miles from the Sat finish). We sailed Gunkhole class last year and took 2nd place, losing to a big 40â?? with way too much waterline to compete. This year it would be really cool to get 4 more SanJuan 21â??s for a one design fleet.

If folks from the fleet are interested let me know. Naturally I can help out with all local logistics, ramps, etc.
