subject:Keel Bolt what else is new.
In response to the question pertaining to the keel bolt and hole. Quite a few years back I had to take my keel down. Turns out the hold in my keels was around .8" and I had a .625" (5/8) keel bolt. Luckily at the time the company I worked at had a very understanding machine shop. ( The V.P. of R& D had a sailboat which helped I guess ). Anyway they machined a stainless bearing/sleeve which I pressed into the keel nicely.I guess the .8" hole was intended for a .75" bolt.
