subject: Keel mechanism problems

Last Saturday, motoring in to dock with keel winched all the way up, something gave way, and keel dropped with a jolt, bending keel pivot bolt, and partially crushing fiberglass keel trunk. Thimble was still intact, so I can't see what happened. Cable was not broken. How does thimble attach to keel horn mechanism? Any pics online? Also, should the fiberglass keel trunk need repair at the point where the pivot bolt goes, how should that be done? Also, what is a good method for keeping keel in place while I remove the keel bolt? (Boat is sitting on trailer).
