subject:Roller vs Bunks
Rollers make it easier to get the boat on and off but if you don't have enough rollers you will get dimples in the boat bottom. We had a roller trailer at one time that had 3 sets of rollers per side. Each set had 8 rollers for a total of 24 rollers per side or 48 supporting the SJ21. This trailer started out with only 8 rollers per side and the arms holding the rollers were rusted beyond repair. I found some used rollers and arms that were designed for a much bigger power boat. I used only about half of what was needed for the power boat. It made for a great trailer. The weight of the boat was so evenly distributed over the 48 rollers I could move each roller by hand.I now have a trailer with bunks and once the trailer was adjusted to fit the boat it has been fine.
I would go with bunks unless you can get a lot of rollers.
