subject:mast rake
I'm not yet an sj 21 owner, but tried one out last week and the problem may be loss of main's power. The unit I used had a lot of rakeas rake, but the jib luff was still not tight ( 12 knots of wind), and the main, still a good sail, leech top was still vibrating badly. So is that the point of no return,, a depowered main, or if you like rake, avoid mast bend to help the upper main to work. Bill
