A friend of mine has donated all of the rigging from a recently crippled 22' Catalina to my San Juan salvage effort. I have the Genoa from the Cat. and I wanted to use it on the SJ. The only problem is I would have to replace the forestay with a headstay. Would this be a bad idea. I am really curious to know if this will compromise the mast or any other structure of the boat.
