Hello Sailors,There has been a change in the date and location of Eastern Nationals. Set your calendars for Labor Day weekend at Lake Norman, North Carolina. Fuel prices were among the reasons for making the change.
More information will be available on "Inland Northwest Sailing" as the summer goes along. On-line registration will be available through the Lake Norman Yacht Club web page. I will start posting Lk Norman Pictures and regatta info today on the web page.
I would also like to thank LuAnn Doyle for filling the "vacant" Eastern Vice Commodore position. She will do a great job.
Lake Norman is located in central North Carolina (just north of Charlotte) and will be a perfect place to host the regatta. Camping, showers, beautiful grounds, nearby motels will make your stay fun and easy.
There are a lot of NEW Sj sailors visiting the Harbor and I want to encourage you to join us. You will learn more about your boat, rigging and sailing by attending a regatta than any other way. If you don't feel comfortable racing your boat sign on to crew! If you live in the east please consider coming to Lake Norman over Labor Day.
