subject:Hull Problems
When I first saw my SJ21 it was sitting in a parking lot on a bunch of tires. No trailer. The tires had left "dents" in the hull. The dent behind the keel (there was only one tire aft of the keel) was huge and deep. I crawled down a quarterberth and used a bottle jack and some plywood to push the dent back out. I positioned the bottle jack so it pushed against the bottom of the boat and the cockpit floor. I used the plywood to spread the load. I let it sit for a day or so. That helped a lot. Then I stopped worring about it. Over the last couple of years the hull has more or less returned to a normal shape. I did buy a trailer and spent some time to make sure it fit the boat properly.
