subject:Upper shroud lengths for Carlos #2
Carlos, I think estimates in this case are not close enough. I ordered a set of shrouds from Gene Adams and I received shrouds for 29" spreaders and I have 25" spreaders on the boat. So I have to order new shrouds or new spreaders.I did the math and laid the old and new shrouds out side by side and there is much more than 3/4" difference in the shroud lengths. Right now I can't even remember the actual difference but the turnbuckle can't make up the difference.
I can't find my computations at the moment but will hunt'um down and post later. I took all the measurements with the mast down on my 1985 Mark III. Like everything else, I've put the drawings and measurements somewhere that they are not supposed to be. I can't even blame this one on a wife or young'uns.
