Greetings all.

I've got my boat in a slip and love it there. This allows me to more casually invite friends to go sailing. I'd like to have something more than just a floatable cushion tied to a line to throw should a kid inadvertently take a swim. I like the Lifesling unit - they seem to be ubiquitous on the boats in the marina.

However, they usually mount on the stern rail, which isn't a normal feature on our boats. Short of installing a short rail for this purpose, I'm trying to come up with mounting ideas. It looks like it might just be able to slap on the inner coaming back by the stern. THere might be enough height.

Has anyone done this? Any other ideas?
