subject:New Class Webpage and online payment option
I have to agree with Curious Carlos, I to forget when and if I sent in my national membership dues. If the Class webpage had an online payment option, it would benefit me and the National Association. I also really like the member map idea. Just have it online in the members section. I plan to travel to several different states in the next few years, and it would be nice to know who and where all the SJ 21 members are and how to contact them. I had a class roster at one time, but can't remember where I put it. The older I get, the more I forget. Put the Jib Sheet on the class webpage for everyone to see, not just members. Actually, I like all eight of Curious Carlos ideas.I also love this website, I think Jim does a great job with it. I had never heard of a San Juan 21 until three years ago. I saw an ad and drove 440 miles from Missouri to Wisconsin and bought the boat. The guy said it needed a little work. At least the trailer was in great shape. I pulled it home. I got a friend to go with me on my first sail on my SJ 21. We found out real fast what work was needed. The keel almost fell out, no keel gasket, the standing rigging was shot, and it leaked. We got back to shore and met a man from Carlyle Sailing Association. He told me about this website. Thanks to all the info on this site, my little SJ 21 is a great boat. Now I can start on the cosmetics, again thanks to this site. The info from this site alone is worth my $25.00 dues. Thanks. Jerry Roberson.
