subject:National Class Assn.
There are several things I would like to know about our Class Assn that would help with the ongoing debate. There has been lots of talk about things that are assumed but there are not facts to back them up.1. What are our membership numbers? Have we had a decline in the last 5 or 10 years? It's assumed that we have but we don't have any numbers.
2. What is the state of our financial status? What is our bank balance? What are the expenses each year? What is happening to our money? I have never seen a treasurers report in the 9 years I have been a member, the 1 year I was the Western region vice commodore, and the 1 year I was the National Commodore.
3. What does the National Assn do besides the jib sheet and this fine website? I have not seen or heard anything.
4. Have there been any National Assn meetings? Any issues or discussions among the leadership team? Have they published any minutes of these meetings? Are they available to the membership?
