subject:thru hull removal
The thru hull was most likely put in with a marine adhesive sealant such as 3M's 5200. I have struggled getting these out in the past until the product Anti - Bond 2015 came out. I was very skeptical at first, but once I used it I am convinced it is the way to go to remove thru hull fittings like this.Do a search on the web or pick up a can at West Marine.
Before using this product we would need to cut out the bronze thru hull fittings once we gave up trying to push it out.
