subject:Keel inspection plate seal
The way I sealed my keel trunk plate was by laying down a thick bead of silicone down on the keel trunk. I let it skin over a little and then covered it with wax paper and laid the board over it and loosely tighten the screws. After the silicone sets up, remove the plate and wax paper and you should have a good seal. If not apply another layer and repeat.
