Hey all:When things are meant to happen, they happen fast and easily.
I've been greatly enjoying having my SJ21 in a slip the past two years, and subsequently been infected with Two-foot-itis. It's been so hard to have a great day of sailing on this great boat, then watch as my marina friends settle down for a cold beer and dinner on their boats. So I've been looking around, and just when I got serious about buying up, I saw Montana Mike Frey's notice that he was looking for a SJ21.
After some conversation, he popped over to meet me yesterday at my lake in North Idaho. (For people from Montana a five-hour drive is like going to the corner store.) He liked the boat and drove home with it. Sounds perfect for him. The best part was the test sail in 20 mph 40 degree gusts. Got to show him how to reef the main in emergency conditions and use the jib downhaul to pull it down fast!
I'm sure he'll be writing in with lots of questions.
Many thanks and appreciation for all the great advice I've received on this board. I always thought I'd get more into trailering around and getting to Seattle for some of those events, but I fell into slip-land.
