Hi Jim.In my 2001 Handbook that I received from the class, there is a drawing of both a kick up and fixed blade rudder on page 4.5 The drawings have Bill McClure's name and a date of Nov 96.
The max thickness shows
1 1/4 +1
-1/4In the drawing, the +1 is on top of
the -1/4, just like I typed above. This measurment is repeated three times with the +1 over the -1/4.There is no mistake, the drawing clearly shows 1 1/4 plus 1 or minus 1/4.
The bottom of the rudder is clearly shown as 9 1/2 +1" -1/2". These dimensions are shown twice. The 1" is not a slash that I mistook for a one.The number one is straight up and down.
These are the measurments I used to make the mold for my rudders, right out of the handbook.
I have talked to Lance since he had you post his message. He went to his 2005 hand book and found the same drawing and measurments that I described above. The page number was the same,4.5
Please e-mail me your fax number and I will fax you the drawing so you can look at it and also post it on your website.

The drawing that's posted is dated Oct. 94 & Nov. 95. Will National Association officer members please clarify this issue?
Thanks. - Jim
