If you think it does (suck that is) move on. The rudder specs have not changed since day one. If you don't like the operation of the class run for office and bring your knowledge to bear in a positive way. By the way I have a 1561 pound boat (offical weight with the class scales bought by Fleet 34 & 8) and a 19 pound stock original rudder. Has not slowed me down since 1985 when I bought the boat.
